2021 Yamaha Mtt9gt Recalls

1. Recall Description

   Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA (Yamaha) is recalling certain 2021 Tracer 9 GT (MTT9GT) motorcycles. The throttle grip may break if used to pull up a motorcycle fallen on its side.

   Possible Effects

   A broken throttle grip may restrict throttle movement or cause a loss of throttle control, increasing the risk of a crash.

   Action

   Owners should not operate their motorcycle, other than to take it to a dealer, until the remedy is performed. Dealers will replace the grip end and if necessary, the throttle grip assembly, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on March 17, 2022. 8. Recall Description

   Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA (Yamaha) is recalling certain 2021 Tracer 900 GT (MTT9GTM) motorcycles. The Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) printed on the Federal Certification label may not match the VIN stamped on the vehicle. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of 49 CFR Part 567, "Certification."

   Possible Effects

   An owner that references an incorrect VIN label may not recognize their vehicle is involved in a safety recall, and may not have the recall remedy performed, which could increase the risk of injury, fire, or a crash.

   Action
