Replace The Engine Air Filter on a 2014+ Nissan Rogue

Replace the engine air filter on a Nissan Rogue. The article and pictures show a 2014+ Rouge, but we've got part numbers for the 2008-2013 Rogue as well.

Nissan's maintenance guide suggests you change the engine air filter every 30,000 miles.

Open the Hood

Open the hood.

The hood latch release is located under the dash next to the fuel door.

The hood prop rod is attached to the bottom of the hood.

Replace the Air Filter

Remove the middle portion of the intake tubing where it connects to the air filter box.

Squeeze the tabs together at the middle joint to release the clips.

Pull the tabs to unclip the other side of the intake tubing from the air filter box.

Remove the intake tubing by sliding it up.

Unclip the 2 metal clips on either side of the air intake box.

Separate the air box cover and slide the air filter out.

Install a new filter.

Close and re-clip the air filter box.

Re-install the air intake tubing.

Note the tubing flange has a slotted tab on both sides you'll need to align.

Snap all the tabs and clips back in place on the intake tube.
