Install The I Jdmtoy Led Rear Fog Light on a Ford Mustang
The Ford Mustang has become the icon of the American dream and a staple of the car industry. It has transpired through several generations, with each new generation more advanced than the next. The current generation Ford Mustang boasts technological advancements, such as a premium on-board system and high end lighting equipment. However, one notable aspect missing from the new Ford Mustang is a premium rear fog light. While rear fog lights are not required in the USA, they are still an important safety feature on cars. The Ford Mustang LED Rear Fog Light comes with taillight, brake light, and reverse light mode which is definitely very unique and increased road safety by tenfold.

The stock wiring colors on this demo Ford Mustang may be different from the wiring colors on your own Ford Mustang. Always use a multi-meter to test your stock wires!
There's two screws under the bumper that need to be removed. When you remove the screws, you'll have some hand space in the bumper so you can have just enough room to stick your hand inside to remove the stock reverse lamp assembly. Unscrew four screws holding the stock reverse lamp assembly in place. There's two screws at the top that are a little harder to get to, so please be patient.
Time to prep for the wiring portion. There's four knobs located on the edges inside the trunk that need to be twisted off.
Time to wire everything up. The assembly has four wires, but you'll only need to draw up 3 through the firewall hole: black, red, yellow. White will be left below and tapped to the existing reverse light green wire for reverse light function.
The yellow/brake function is somewhat complicated due to the mechanics of the Mustang. The Mustang has a unique design of the original taillight that functions as taillight, brake light, and turn signal light. Tapping the yellow wire to the driver's side will result in the LED rear fog light blinking whenever the driver side turn signal is on. Because of this, we will be routing the yellow wire to the OEM 3rd brake light.
Tap yellow wire to OEM 3rd brake light. Remove the trunk liner to route the yellow wire. There's a few clips holding onto the trunk liner that you'll need to remove.
Remove the backseat panel, pillar panel, and roof panel. You'll be routing the yellow wire behind these three panels.
After you open the panels, you can see the stock 3rd brake light's yellow wire. Draw the LED rear fog light's yellow wire up behind the panel and tap it to the OEM 3rd brake light.
Test to make sure all the functions work and enjoy your new Ford Mustang LED 4th Brake Light.
