Learn how to change a 2019 Chevrolet Trax engine air filter. The manufacturer's schedule says to replace it every 40,000 miles or 4 years. This guide includes all the tools and parts needed to get the job done quickly.

The Engine air filter is located in the large plastic box to the left of this photo.

Locate the 2 Philips head screws and remove them.

Open the air box. There are plastic hinges/latches on the side nearest the engine block.

Remove and replace the air filter.

Install the new filter, pleated side down.

Close the air box lid, starting with the plastic hinges nearest the engine, then tighten the 2 screws.
