Refill The Coolant on a Honda S2000
Making sure that your S2000 has the proper amount of coolant is important to keeping it from overheating. The good news is that this maintenance is very easy to do.
- Antifreeze Coolant (Preferably a pre-diluted 50/50 mix)
- A funnel
- Paper towels
Finding the radiator overflow reservoir
Open the hood and locate the reservoir - it'll be the plastic tank near the front of the car on the driver's side. You'll see the hose from the radiator connected to the reservoir tank.
Checking coolant levels
Unscrew the cap and peek inside to determine where the fluid level is at. If the fluid isn't near the Max line then you'll want to top it off.
Adding new coolant
Pull the cap and hose out of the tank and put your funnel inside the tank opening. It would be a good idea to rest the hose on a paper towel so you don't dirty your engine bay.
(If you don't have a pre-diluted mix you'll need to make a mixture of 50% antifreeze to 50% water.)
Wrap up
- At full capacity the tank takes approximately 6.5 liters (6.5L)
- The OEM tank is Honda part #19101-PCX-000
