Install The Hid Conversion Kit on a Hyundai Genesis
Tired of your stock halogen headlights or fog lights? You can install an HID Conversion Kit from Amazon and get brighter output and better visibility for nighttime driving. This installation guide covers everything from removing your headlights all the way to connecting the wires so the HID Conversion Kit can be powered up.
Open the hood. Locate the back of the headlights and remove the bolts holding the headlight housing.
Remove the battery negative terminal. Remove the headlight cover and remove the factory halogen bulb. Don't touch the bulb's glass with your finger! You can even wear latex gloves as protection.
Take out the HID bulb from the plastic shell and remove the circular plastic piece. Remember not to touch the HID bulb glass! If you accidentally touch it, you can clean it with some rubbing alcohol.
Screw in the HID bulb back into the headlight housing.
Connect the wires of the HID bulb to the ballast and then connect the HID ballast back to the stock harness.
Before you mount the ballast, test the HID light to make sure it lights up.
If not, turn the adapter wire 180 degrees.
Mount the HID ballast with zip ties.
The best part about having an HID Conversion Kit is that you can use them for both headlights and fog lights. This is a great opportunity because you can have a nice HID matching look.
