Upgrade The Amber Side Marker Lights To Clear on a Honda S2000
Looking to upgrade the look of your S2000 with CR clear side markers? Or do you just need to replace a dead bulb? The good news is that's it's an easy 2-minute job - read on to find out how.
- OEM Honda Clear Side Marker Lights (Honda Part Numbers 33851-S2A-J02 and 33801-2SA-JO2). These are also identified as the 2008 CR clear side markers. If you have an older model (such as an AP1) rest assured that they will fit just fine even if a parts database tells you otherwise.
- New 194 bulbs if replacing a burnt bulb (194 bulbs are compatible with T10, 921 and T15 type bulbs so any of those types should work). Here are a few options:
- OEM Honda Bulb (Honda Part Number 33301-SA0-741)
- Sylvania 2827 Amber Bulb
- LED Bulb Upgrade
Identify Parts
Before you start, note the different markers - one will be labeled with an L (left-side) and the other with an R (right-side)
Remove existing marker
Remove marker from plug
You should see LOCK written on the plug with an arrow. Hold on to the plug so that you don't lose it, then twist the marker in the same direction of the arrow (counter-clockwise) and then you can pull the marker away from the bulb plug.
Keep a grip on the plug - if you let go you may have to fish it out from within the car!
Replacing the bulb
Now the bulb is exposed. If you need to change the bulb you can simply pull it out and pop in the new one.
Installing the new markers
You want to put the back of the marker in first - the slanted wedge side with the small nub. The side with the plastic clip will face the front.
Repeat for other side

A much cleaner look, in my opinion!
Enjoy your new and improved side markers!
