Change The Cabin Air Filter on a 2013-2018 Nissan Sentra
Learn how to change a 2013-2018 Nissan Sentra cabin air filter. The manufacturer's schedule says to replace it every 15,000 miles or 18 months. This guide includes all the replacement filter part numbers needed to get the job done quickly.
The filter on the Sentra is a little difficult to reach, but doesn't require any tools to replace.
- Cabin Air Filter (choose one): FRAM CF11177, ATP RA-136 Carbon, ACDelco CF3324, Purolator C28183, WIX 24012
Locate the Cabin Air Filter
In the passenger side foot well, the cabin air filter cover is visible only by putting your head under the dash.
The filter is behind the center console, right up against the front firewall between the cabin and the engine.
Remove the cabin air filter cover.
The cover doesn't require any tools. Just pull the rounded clip on the top toward the bottom of the cover till it is free of the housing.
Here's a shot of the cover once it's removed.
Remove the air filter.
It's a soft sided filter, so just reach in and squeeze it between your fingers and pull it out.
Most air filters are directional. Make sure you pay attention to any markings on the filter that point toward "Front" or indicate the direction of air "Flow".
